In the words of Pablo Picasso "One starts to get young at the age of sixty ... and then it is too late." And someone else categorised different phases of life as "You've heard of the three ages of man - youth, middle age, and "you're looking wonderful"." LOOKING or not, FEELING definitely ... No Regrets but I do miss:-

گاہ، ترینگل، کراہی اور ترنگڑی
تندوری روٹی، لونی تے لسی، قمقماچ دی چٹنی، کچا پیاز، اچاری مرچاں
Whenever on leave, playing cricket with the young boys of the village and on return, the love personified scold by Maan-Ji, (My wife always standing besides her wearing a mischievous smile):
کدن وڈا ہوسیں، اے عمر اے تینڈھی جاتکاں نال کھیڈن دی
کہاں تک سنو گے کہاں تک سناوں
ALAS --- Coming generations will never see that golden, pure organic life ...
On the Roohani side, the time is running out;
Doubling the days; no question,
Half of it very remote;
Few more - a possibility only,
Allah SWT Says in Quran "And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation; so will they not understand?" YASIN 36 : 68. Systems and organs denote 'definite decay'... and practically ...
Still at the first stage ... shared with animals ..NAFS-E-AMMARA (EAT, DRINK, SLEEP and 'REPRODUCE').
LAWAMA, which produces remorse and differentiates us from the animals ... followed by MUTMA'INA, RAZIA and MARZIYA astronomical miles away ....
But the effort 'TO BE' can start as its never too late ... اللہ کریم توفیق عطا فرما ۔
