Assalamo Allaikum WRWBH! My prayers for acceptance of your prayers and peace for all. It has been quite a while since last Post, alas the time, mostly it is insufficient and scarce and most of us generally lag behind. I too am victim of the time syndrome. I try to sit down and do the thing daily but "TUJH SE BHI DIL FAREB HEIN GHAM.......". Good thing, however, is that here I am trying to say that "The Biggest Lesson from History is that We Do Not Learn Any Thing from History".

I recently received an E Mail inferring that all beings possess the faculty of comprehension and acting on the learnt ruse. The story goes, that five monkeys were put in a cage. The cage also had one stand on which were placed Bananas. This fruit falls in the category of Favorite for the monkeys, so naturally they made a bee line for the snack. The plan with the perpetrators, though, was slightly different. As a monkey would try to climb for the fruit, others got a dash of cold water on their skulls. Monkeys were quick to grasp the "real thing" so to avoid being soaked they would gang up against the defaulter, beat him up, hence all inmates learned not to go for the Bs on the stand. One monkey out of the pack was replaced with a fresh entrant, who hastily dived to the stand but got thrashed by others. Similarly all were changed and every one learned quickly the rules of the game. Bs remained untouched on the stand and monkeys patrolled the floor peacefully. Moral, therefore, is that beings not only can learn but also reform their habits, attitude and living style.

Please do not sign of, it is not all.......There is a Specie in Pakistan which displays a rare tenacity, steadfastness and perseverance "NOT TO LEARN", despite the severe thrashing, disgrace, exiles, gallows, Murders, ABDOs, NABs, Broken Country, name any thing which they have not got and brought on to themselves and on this country "ALLAH KA ATTIYA" Pakistan. POLITICIANS of Pakistan. Out in the Jails, Foreign Countries, Streets, they hasten to make FRonts, UFs, PNA, MRD, ARD and what not but given the chance they start exactly from where they had left. Syed Ghulanm Naseer Ud Din Naseer of Golra Sharif started his voyage to the Eternal World to meet his Creator, on Friday, February 13, 2009, 17 Safar Ul Muzzafar 1430 Hijri. Inna Lilah-e-Wa Inna Illihe Rajeoon.

Syed Nasser Ud Din RA was a Distinguished Religious Scholar, a Poet Par Excellence who mostly wrote Mystic and Naatia Poetry. His total existence revolved around Love for Rasool Ullah SAW. He was a Multi Lingual poet who started writing Persian Naats in his childhood. He occupied the Seat of Great Sufi Scholar and Spiritual Leader of millions of Muslims and revered across the entire Muslim World, Syed Mehar Ali Shah of Golra Sharif. Entire life of Syed Naseer has been spent in the cause of DEEN and its spread. He was a prolific Writer whose books on varied subjects are in dozens. He abhorred the demon of Sectarianism on rampage in Pakistan and whole Ummah. He worked round the clock for the unity of Muslims.

He was, though, SAJJADA NASHIN of Sunni Spiritual Seat but he could never become a Blind Follower. He wrote in one of his books "Praise be To Allahu Taala, my Belief is that of my elders and I practice religiously whatever they wrote in the light of Quran and Sunnah, however, my yardstick to gauge their veracity is as per the Teaching of Allahu Taala and His Prophet SAW. I do not subscribe to anything which does not measure up to this scale, irrespective of status of the Author. He praised openly the good articles of other Sects and did not hesitate to point out the wrongs if any in his own Sect. He never turned down request of any body from any Sect to be part of their meetings and be the main Speaker there, and that is the reason that he was adored and sought by all.

He was a great proponent of TRUTH AND HAQ. He was no ordinary scholar, as Ghazali RA wrote in his AlMunqiz Minad Dalal,"the least ranking of a scholar is that he is distinctly different from ordinary mortals" and that is what Syed Naseer RA was. He was true practitioner of Ghazali’s view point that "it is a general liability of the masses that they see who has said it and not what has been said. They see TRUTH through men they adore and respect, which may not be correct. In fact men should be judged on the reality of TRUTH".

I was fortunate to have got the opportunity to meet Syed Naseer RA. Few months back I read one of his books, it was such a gripping and fascinating work that I finished the book (about 370 pages in almost one sitting). He was a great believer in Ijtihad and in his book had discussed some really absorbing and thought provoking changes which a normal scholar would never have dared to touch. I enquired about his availability and found out that he was out of the city. On his arrival he was very kind to talk to me. I sought an audience with him. He told me that mostly he was away but was always available on Fridays after prayers in his “Bhaitak” and asked to come over. I got late and when I reached his place, I was informed that he had left to attend a funeral. I went to his living place and waited. He was very kind on his arrival, not only he entertained me but sat with me, offered me SATTU and discussed and answered every question which I asked.I found in him a genuinely Allah Conscious man as I kept listening and looking, remembering what Allahu Taala has said in Quran "And keep yourself familiar to those who call upon their Rubb in the morning and evening seeking His Pleasure. And do not turn your eyes away leaving them; in quest of the adornment of this worldly life? And do not accept the words of those whose heart We (Allah) have left neglectful from Our (Allah’s) remembrance, who follows his own desire and whose affairs exceed the limits (AL-KAHF 28)".

He resembled a lot with Pir Mehar Ali Shah, had extremely penetrating, eagle like eyes, and carried an aura of definite certainty around him. Preferred to talk in Punjabi (Pothohari). All encompassing knowledge flowed out of him. He seemed to me a man in urgency, and urgency he has displayed in passing away young as he looked every bit of it. I think Pakistan has lost a Saner Voice where hate mongers are playing havoc with Islam and its Teachings. Prophet SAW Said "There will be Seventy Three Sects In Islam and only One will have the Deliverance" here every one thinks and believes that their Sect only is the Righteous One and rest all are KAFIRS and Wajibul Qatal. No one wants the decision to be pended till the Day of Resurrection and let Allahu Taala and His Rasool SAW make the decision.

Assalamo Allaikum WRWBH! Prayers and Peace for all. It has been three days since the last post. Last one had paused on the mention of TASSAWAF. What is Tassawaf? Huge books are available on the definition alone, however, a very concise but the most comprehensive definition probably is by Ghazali (RA). It says "Worship only Allahu Taala and serve His Creation IE all beings".

All those who choose to tread this path indulge in absolute self purification (Tazkiyae Nafs). Nothing, absolutely nothing attracts them, deters them from the chosen path. For them Allahu Taala' s endorsement of their every action is the sole purpose. Love of Allahu Taala is their life. They refrain from any thing which can hinder their journey towards their cherished goal. Tassawaf stimulates them towards goodness and every pious deed. The most common effects of Tassawaf on a Sufi are:-

---- Sufis overcome their desires and lust.

----They indulge in self purification and self destruction.

----They observe unlimited control over themselves in every facet of personal conduct.

----They teach and train their pupils through self example.

----A Scholar can talk for hours on self purification but a Sufi is the model of self purification.

----Sufis are above any sort of compartmentation/prejudices. They dish out LOVE and LOVE
only to all.

Assalamo Allaikum WRWBH; Prayers and Peace for all. Friends, to love, is embedded in the very nature of human beings. Every human being one way or the other falls in love, becomes captive of this beautiful phenomenon. In fact it is not only exclusive to humans, this passion abounds in all living beings. The love of humans off course is superior to all other beings. Humans love their Creator, seek His Blessing, SUBMIT to Him. This is the path of the Soul and the Soul leaves no tracks, no traces and to know the path one must see the tracks, therefore, the requirement of those who are the Chosen Ones, Blessed Ones arises. Who are these Chosen Ones? Prophets and Messengers of Allahu Taala.

Truth is that LOVE OF ALLAHU TAALA exists in all, be they be Muslims, Hindus, Jews or Christians, however, the essential requirement is identification of the correct path. That path if known and tread ed, the ultimate destination is the Creator, every thing else is put aside. All things not liked by the Creator are shunned by those who seek His Love and Blessing. This path leading to Creator has been shown by His Messengers and pious men.

Some also name it the path of Sufis or Tassawaf, as Tassawaf searches for closeness to Creator and this closeness is achieved through Love (ISHQ), therefore every Sufi proclaims ISHQ E ILLAHI. True Sufis spend their entire live treading the same path and brook no opposition enroute. They try to evade every thing which can take them off their chosen route.
