THE SAINTLY WORDS OF A SAINT

As-Salaam-O-alaykum, wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh.

All praises for Allah Karim; Whom we must worship for 'Him Alone' ! Darood-o-Salam on Prophet ﷺ because Allah Karim ordained us to do that ! Peace upon Prophet's (ﷺ) family, company, successors and those who follow his path.

Allah SWT Says in Quran :

Persevere with those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His magnificence. DO NOT TURN YOUR EYES AWAY FROM THEM, seeking the splendors of this world, and do not follow him whose heart We have made oblivious to Our remembrance, who follows his own lust and exceeds the bound. AL-KAHF (18) : 28.

An early morning Message from Professor Muhammad Abdullah Bhatti, Author of Books, 'ASRAR-E-ROOHANIYAT and FIKR-E-DURWESH' inspired me to write this Post. His SMS contained Verses from a beautiful Sermon by KHAWAJA GHARIB NAWAZ Hazrat MOEEN-UD-DIN CHISHTI AJMERI RA. As I have the transcript of the Sermon placed under the glass on my Office Table, so spontaneous thought was to share this Saintly Wisdom of a renowned Saint with all friends. (MY PROFOUND GRATITUDE TO PROFESSOR FOR GIVING ME A LEAD).

Love and hate none;

Mere talk of peace will avail you nought.

Mere Talk of Allah and Religion will not take you far;

Bring out all of the latent powers of your being;

And reveal the full magnificence of your

IMMORTAL SELF.

Be surcharged with peace and joy;

And scatter them wherever you

are and wherever YOU GO.

BE A BLAZING FIRE OF TRUTH;

AND BE A SOOTHING BALM OF PEACE.

With your spiritual light;

dispel the DARKNESS OF IGNORANCE; and

SPREAD GOODWILL, PEACE AND HARMONY AMONG THE PEOPLE.

NEVER SEEK ANY HELP, CHARITY, OR FAVORS

FROM ANYBODY EXCEPT ALLAH KARIM.

Never go to the Courts of Kings;

But never refuse to Bless and Help the Needy and Poor,

the Widow and the Orphan, if they come to you.

THIS IS YOUR MISSION, TO SERVE THE PEOPLE.....

CARRY IT OUT DUTIFULLY AND COURAGEOUSLY.

THE TRIPLE FILTER TEST

As-Salaam-O-alaykum, wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh.

All praises for Allah Karim; Whom we must worship for 'Him Alone' ! Darood-o-Salam on Prophet ﷺ because Allah Karim ordained us to do that ! Peace upon Prophet's (ﷺ) family, company, successors and those who follow his path.

{I didn't write this, but I think that keeping in view its usefulness I must repost it here, for all friends}:

It is about the Wisdom of Socrates, as to how to deal with a rumour or gossip.

In ancient Greece (469 - 399 BC), Socrates was widely lauded for his wisdom.

One day an acquaintance ran up to him excitedly and said,

Socrates, do you know what I just heard about Diogenes?

"Wait a moment," Socrates replied,

Before you tell me I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called The Triple Filter Test.

'Triple filter?" asked the acquaintance.

"That's right," Socrates continued,

Before you talk to me about Diogenes let's take a moment to filter what you're going to say.

The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?

"No," the man said. "Actually I just heard about it."

"All right," said Socrates, "So you don't really know if it's true or not."

Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about Diogenes something good?"

"No, on the contrary..."

"So," Socrates continued,

You want to tell me something about Diogenes that may be bad, even though you're not certain it's true?

The man shrugged, a little embarrassed.

Socrates continued:

You may still pass the test though, because there is a third filter, the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about Diogenes going to be useful to me?

"No, not really."

"Well," concluded Socrates,

If what you want to tell me is neither True nor Good nor even Useful, why tell it to me or anyone at all?

The man was bewildered and ashamed.

This is an example of why Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high esteem.

Now the Question is "Shouldn't we too apply these Filters on what WE SAY or HEAR?"

WOH JO TAREEK RAHOUN MEIN MAREY GAYE !

Darood-o-Salam on Prophet ﷺ because Allah Karim ordained us to do that ! Peace upon Prophet's (ﷺ) family, company, successors and those who follow his path.

Allah Karim has said in Quran-E-Hakim:

AND THERE IS FOR YOU IN LEGAL RETRIBUTION {QISAAS} - LIFE; O YOU [PEOPLE] OF UNDERSTANDING, THAT YOU MAY BECOME RIGHTEOUS.

AL-BAQARA (2) : 179.

WHY? WHY? WHY? These News are making rounds that Execution of Murderers has been stayed and that there is a move afoot to abolish the Capital Punishment altogether?

Thousands have sacrificed their lives in the LINE OF DUTY and are still doing so round the clock; thousands have been murdered in the MASAAJIDs while offering NAMAZ; thousands have been killed in the Market Places while they were busy buying the essential commodities of life for their kith and kin; thousands have been blown into pieces at their work places trying to earn livelihood for their [now orphaned] children IN THE WAR ON TERROR, WAR OF POWER AND LUST AND WAR OF ERROR.

I see these Martyrs sitting together rather perplexed; as to what is going on in their beloved Pakistan and how their supreme sacrifice is being caved due to political and '(non existent) will to do' expediencies. They wanted to convey 'few words' to PAKISTAN and the Decision Makers therein (Who are either IN or OUT - when they are IN, they are IN the SEAT OF POWER; and when they are OUT; they are OUT to their PARADISE POINTS stretching from JEDDAH to NEW-YORK and elsewhere in MIDEAST, EUORPE and AMERICAs) who decide [or don't], who make the laws and break the laws AND IF THE NEWS ITEM IS CORRECT THEN THEY POSSESS THE AUDACITY TO CHALLENGE THE DIVINE LAW AS WELL , who listen to unknowns and do not listen to Pakistanis.

The Message they want to convey (فیض صاحب سے معذرت کے ساتھ) is :

تیرے ہونٹوں کے پھولوں کی چاھت میں ھم

دار کی خشک ٹہنی پہ وارے گیٔے

تیرے ہاتھوں کی شمعوں کی حسرت میں ھم

نیم تاریک راھوں میں مارے گیٔے

سولیوں پر ھمارے لبوں سے پرے

تیرے ھونٹوں کی لالی لپکتی رھی

تیری زلفوں کی مستی برستی رھی

تیرے ہاتھوں کی چاندی دمکتی رھی

جب کھلی تیری راھوں میں شامِ ستم

ھم چلے آے لاۓ جہاں تک قدم

لب پہ حرفِ غزل دل میں قندیلِ غم

اپنا غم تھا گواھی ترے حسن کی

دیکھ قایم رھے اُس گواھی پہ ھم

ھم جوتاریک راھوں میں مارے گیٔے

نارسایٔ اگر اپنی تقدیر تھی

تیری الفت تو اپنی ھی تدبیر تھی

کس کو شکوہ ھے گر شوق کے سلسلے

ھجر کی قتل گاھوں سے سب جا ملے

قتل گاھوں سے چن کر ھمارے علم

اور نکلیں گے عشاق کے قافلے

جن کی راہِ طلب سے ھمارے قدم

مختصر کر چلے درد کے فاصلے

کر چلے جن کی خاطر جہاں گیر ھم

جاں گنوا کر تری دلبری کا بھرم

ھم جوتاریک راھوں میں مارے گیٔے

I BESEECH ALLAH KARIM FOR GIVING US STRENGTH TO DO AS HE SWT WANTS US TO DO. AAMEEN.

LONG LIVE PAKISTAN !

As-Salaam-O-alaykum, wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh.

All praises for Allah Karim; Whom we must worship for 'Him Alone' !

Darood-o-Salam on Prophet ﷺ because Allah Karim ordained us to do that ! Peace upon Prophet's (ﷺ) family, company, successors and those who follow his path.

66 years ago - August 14, 1947: 27 Ramadhan Karim, the Night of POWER (لیلۃُالقدر) and Father of the New Nation finished his speech on AIR by raising the slogan LONG LIVE PAKISTAN (پاکستان زندہ باد). As we celebrate 67th Independence Day; we must remember what Allah Karim has said in Quran-E-Hakim:

And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.' IBRAHIM (14) : 7.

And why we should have been, should be grateful to Allah Karim for this Blessing called Pakistan? Because;

Sub-Continent has a recorded history of thousands of years and one aspect which stands out is that it has been a land of Idol Worshipers right through.

Muslims whether coming from different shores or indigenous converts were 'OUTSIDERS'.

Islam was/is/shall remain the only unifying aspect for Muslims of Sub-Continent as in all other spheres of human life they were/are and shall remain diversified.

Muslims were/are vastly outnumbered (though right now they are about 600 millions in this part of the world making almost half of the entire Muslim population).

The Colonial Rulers and the Majority were against the creation of Pakistan and India still remains skeptical/ adventurous against its existence, already achieving one dismemberment.

The success of Pakistan Movement is nothing but miraculous when seen in the context of other such contemporary struggles.

All Praises for Allah Karim Who in His Infinite Mercy (اتنے بڑے جیون ساگر میں جس نے پاکستان دیا) and Gave strength, steadfastness, resolve and conviction to the Death Defying Leader, his associates and Muslims inhibiting INDIA anywhere whose chants of (پاکستان کا مطلب کیا؟ لا اِلہٰ اِللّٰہ، ۔ بن کے رھے گاپاکستان، ۔ لے کے رھیں گےپاکستان، ) still reverberate.

Sad fact however is that neither we have been grateful to Allah Karim, nor true to Pakistan and ourselves. Quaid met his Creator.....and........... نیرنگیئِ سیاستِ دوراں تو دیکھیے ۔ منزل انھیں ملی جو شریکِ سفر نہ تھے.

Name a vice we are not afflicted with, list a crime which we have not committed against Pakistan, Point an achievement (Nuclear Power we are for Which Allah Karim May reward all the Pioneers and contributors) if you have one. Where are we now?

The second part of the quoted Ayat is highly significant here, If we are not amongst the Grateful then we must be with those who have been termed as DENIERS.

ذرا سوچیے ؟

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY.

WE HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY, EACH ONE OF US.....WE ARE PAYING THE PRICE OF FAILURE HERE AND WE SHALL DEFINITELY BE ANSWERABLE THERE TOO.

خداوندِذوالجلال ھم سب کو سرخرو ھونے کی توفیق عطا فرماۓ ۔ آمین

The Nation is tired of being sad;

It is tired of crying;

Tired of feeling empty inside;

Tired of feeling worthless;

Tired of dreaming about a life it shall never have till the time Morons are on the loose and Pigmies on the decision table;

Tired of wishing it could start all over;

Tired of not being able to just let go;

Tired of faking and being indifferent;

Tired of being angry and not manifesting it;

Tired of needing help;

EID MUBARIK

As-Salaam-O-alaykum, wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh.

All praises for Allah Karim; Whom we must worship for 'Him Alone' !

Darood-o-Salam on Prophet ﷺ because Allah Karim ordained us to do that !

Peace upon Prophet's (ﷺ) family, company, successors and those who follow his path.

..............Give good tidings to the humble [before their Lord].Who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts are fearful, and [to] the patient over what has afflicted them, and the establishers of prayer and those who spend from what We have provided them. AL-HAJJ (22) : 34-35.

I beseech Allah Karim invoking His (SWT) unlimited Mercy and Compassion that Eid-ul-Fitr brings unprecedented Rewards, Happiness, Prosperity, Peace and Perseverance (Good Deeds) for your Humility, Patience, Fear from Allah Karim, Fast and Prayers during Ramadhan; to you, family, friends, acquaintances, Nation, Ummah and the entire Universe.

ALLAH KARIM - 5

As-Salaam-O-alaykum, wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh.

Allah SWT Says :

O you assembly of Jinns and mankind! "Did not there come to you Messengers from amongst you, reciting unto you My Verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of this world that deceived them. And they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.

This is because Allah Karim would not destroy the (populations of) towns for their wrong-doing (i.e. associating others in worship along with Allah) while their people were unaware (so the Messengers were sent). Al-AN'AM (6) : 130-131.

In this Post we see the proofs regarding the existence of Allah Karim as per other Divine Religions. Quran shows us how Allah Karim refers to the earlier scriptures that He had revealed and His message to them to now embrace Allah’s words in the Quran. Consider what Allah says in the Quran:

And (remember) when We gave Musa (Moses) the scripture [the Taurat (Torah)] and the criterion (of right and wrong) so that you may be guided aright.” AL-BAQARA (2) : 53.

O people of the scripture! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allah aught but the truth. The Messiah ‘Îsa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was a Messenger of Allah and His Word, (“Be!” – and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rooh ) created by Him; so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not: “Three (trinity)!” Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allah is (the only) One Ilah (God), glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs. AN-NISA (4) : 171.

O people of the scripture! Now has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad (S) making (things) clear unto you, after a break in (the series of) Messengers, lest you say: “There came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner.” But now has come unto you a bringer of glad tidings and a warner. And Allah is Able to do all things. AL-MA'IADA (5) : 19.

For those doubting Quran as the word of the God, Allah challenges mankind to read and ponder over its verses. Unfortunately, the critics of Quran are usually those who have neither pondered over the Quran nor try to understand its verses in the context in which they were revealed and addressed to mankind. As a result, they only see what their ignorance leads them to see. Allah challenges those people by asking them:

“Do they not then consider the Quran carefully? Had it been from other than Allah they would surely have found therein much contradictions.” AN-NISA (4) : 82.

WA LA TAFFARAQU - 26

As-Salaam-O-alaykum, wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh.

All praises for Allah Karim; Whom we must worship for 'Him Alone' !

Darood-o-Salam on Prophet ﷺ because Allah Karim ordained us to do that !

Peace upon Prophet's (ﷺ) family, company, successors and those who follow his path.

This post has seen quite an interval from the last on the subject. I pray that the future Posts appear regularly till we finish with the subject. Let us start with a Quranic Prayer:

Allah Karim, do not take us to task if we forget or make a mistake! Our Lord, do not place on us a burden like the one You placed on those before us! Our Lord, do not place on us a burden we have not the strength to bear! Pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy on us. You are our Lord and Sustainer, so help us against those who deny the truth. AL-BAQARA (2) : 286.

So we start from where we had left off with the qualities of Muflihoon as per Quran :

33. They harbor no jealousy in their hearts for what has been given to others.

34. They give preference to others over themselves, even if they too are needy.

AL-HASHAR (59) : 9.

35. When the prayer is ended, They disperse in the land and seek to obtain [something] of Allah's bounty.

36. They remember Allah Karim.

AL-JUMU'A (62) : 10.

37. They remain mindful of Allah as best as they can.

38. They listen and obey.

39. They spend in charity.

40. They guard themselves against their own greed.

AT-TAGHABUN (64) : 16.

May we all be amongst the 'Muflihoon' and May we guard against the Greed, a sources for most of the vices and sins. AAmeen.
