اللہ تعالی کے غیر کی طرف ملتفت ہونے والا کبھی اللہ تعالی کی بارگاہ تک نہیں پہنچ سکتا اور شکی مزاج کبھی کامیاب نہیں ہو سکتا۔

جس شخص کو اپنے اندر کمی کا علم نہ ہو اُس کے سب اوقات نقص اور کمی کا شکار ہیں۔

طبیبوں کا بیمار ہونا، دانشمندوں کا جاہل ہونا اور دوستوں کے ساتھ بے مروت ہونا  بہت برا ہے۔

جو اللہ تعالی کی معرفت حاصل کر لیتا ہے وہ باادب ہو جاتا ہےاور خوفِ خدا اس کا ہم نشین۔ 

خوفِ خدا  ذاتی محاسبے کا احساس اجاگر کرتا ہے اور ذاتی محاسبہ مراقبہ کی طرف ملتفت کرتا ہے۔ 

مراقبہ ذکرِ الہی کا موجب بنتا ہے۔

اللہ  کی  دوستی  حاصل  کرنی  ھے  تو  اُس  کے  بندوں  پر  مہربان  ہونا  پڑے  گا

کیونکہ  عبادت  کرنے  سے  جنّت  ملتی  ھے  اور   خدمت  کرنے  سے  

خُدا  ملتا  ھے

And remember! your Lord caused to be declared (publicly): "If you are grateful, I will add more (favours) unto you; But if you show ingratitude, truly My punishment is terrible indeed." 14 : 7

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.

It turns what we have into enough, and more.

It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order and confusion to clarity.

It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home and a stranger into a friend.

Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates vision for tomorrow.

Allah SWT describes His Apostle SAWS as خلقِ عظیم in Holy Quran:

And you (stand) on an exalted standard of character [خلقِ عظیم]. AL-QALAM {68} : 4.

Prophet SAWS being on an exalted standard of character, we learn from Him sound morals and good character. We learn the value of being truthful, honest and trust worthiness. He never lied, cheated and always kept his promise even at the peril of His and companions life (remember few stipulations of Hudaibiya?), that is why He was known as AS-SADIQ and AL-AMEEN. He emphasized the importance of being truthful 'TRUTHFULNESS GUIDES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND RIGHTEOUSNESS GUIDES TO PARADISE'.

He SAWS was never arrogant and displayed rare humility always. He never looked down on anyone and was ever Allah-Conscious. He was extremely kind, patience was one of the greatest virtues of his personalty and he possessed great tolerance. He never got angry whatever the circumstances. An ever-present smile was part of his disposition. Any one who came across him instantly fell in love with him. People loved both 'THE MAN MUHAMMAD' and 'THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD'. He himself liked to teach and asked others to do the same 'THE BEST AMONGST YOU IS HE WHO LEARNS AND TEACHES'.

We see in Him the great faculties of 'PERSEVERANCE' and 'UNTIRING STRUGGLE'. He taught us not to indulge in 'PASSIVE ACCEPTANCE' and 'GIVING UP'. 

He taught us to accept the fate as Allah Willed without ever stopping to wade through the difficult times with hard work, conviction and gratitude. 

He taught everyone to live upright, doing the things with the best possible sincerity of purpose and ability. He taught us that for doing our things we require no supervision as we have two supervisors, ourselves and Allah SWT.

He told his followers categorically 'NOT TO HARM OTHERS IN WORD OR DEED - HELP OTHERS ALL THE TIMES'. He SAWS said "IF YOU HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY, THEN KEEP QUITE AND CONTROL YOUR TONGUE BECAUSE WORDS CAN CAUSE A GREAT DEAL OF HARM". He also said "WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN ALLAH SWT AND THE LAST DAY, LET HIM SAY SOMETHING THAT IS GOOD OR HE SHOULD KEEP QUITE". At another place He said "A MUSLIM IS HE FROM WHOM ANOTHER INCURS NO HARM THROUGH WORD OR DEED'.

انا لللە و انا الیە راجعون ! and sits therein one of the greatest inferences to live the life fully whatever it may contain because 'transfer' back to celestial world is the only undebatable fact in this mortal world. One more 'from the pack' left today to meet the Creator; 

لا مکاں کے لئے عروسِ حیات

زندگی تجھ سے امیدِ وفا کیا رکھوں

لے گئں جانے کہاں گرم ھوائیں ان کو

                                 

All praises for Allah Karim; Immeasurable Darood-o-Salam on Rasool-Ullah Salalaho Allaihe Wasalam [SAWS]. 

All Praise is to Allah Karim. We beseech Him for:- [Derived - From Hazrat Ibne Arbi RA]

And it was By Allah's Grace that You [O Prophet] did deal gently with your followers; for if you had been harsh and hard of heart, they would indeed have broken away from you. Pardon them, then, and pray that they be forgiven. And take counsel with them in all matters of public concern; then, when you have decided upon a course of action, place your Trust in Allah Karim: for, verily Allah Karim Loves those who place their Trust in Him.

If Allah succours you, none can ever overcome you; but if He should forsake you, who could succour you thereafter? In Allah Karim, then, let the believers place their trust. AALE IMRAN (3) : 159-160.

We must be Allah-Conscious (MUTTAQI) while dealing with fellow beings and follow the course outlined by Him and demonstrated by His Rasool Salalaho Allihe Wassalm "O MANKIND! Be conscious of Your Sustainer Who has created you out of one living entity, and out of it created its mate, and out of the two spread abroad a multitude of men and women. And remain conscious of Allah Karim, in Whose Name you demand {your rights} from one another. and of these ties of kinship, Verily Allah Karim is ever watchful over you. AL-NISA (4) : 1".

Man is a social animal and is persistently interacting with self or others. Our dealings with self and others are three dimensional:-

Sustained opposition to demands of our carnal self.

Justice and Fairness - with others.

Owning the Fumbles (BOTH  -  INFRINGEMENTS TOWARDS ALLAH AND HIS CREATION).

Exquisiteness in Dealings is also three dimensional:-

To reach out to others with impartiality and righteousness.

To spend (for self and others) with magnanimity.

To sacrifice in the Way Of Allah and His Creatures with Grace.

Fairness and even-handedness becomes possible by:-

Resort to scrupulous self accountability.

Constant apprehension of award and reward of deeds.

To endeavor with the best possible effort.

Judicious expense is made possibly by:-

Avoiding niggardliness and meanness.

Benevolence with poise.

Identifying the needs of needy.

Sacrifice is dependent upon following:-

Parameters ordained by Allah Karim supersede everything else of life and creation.

Success in the hereafter has precedence over all temporary pleasure of this world.

Nearness to Allah Karim outweighs each worldly pursuit.

Unfortunate are those who do not believe in what Allah Karim has ordained and who are not immersed in the Remembrance of Allah Karim. "But as for him who shall turn away from remembering Me - his shall be a life of narrow scope; and on the Day of Resurrection We shall raise him up blind. TA'HA (20) : 124." Remembrance of Allah Karim and absolute belief and trust in Him washes away the gloom,sorrows and miseries.

Tenderness and humility are the beauty of human conduct and without this 'beauty' ugliness always spoils the relations and manifests feuds. compassion in conversation, smile on face and a caring outlook are the attributes of blessed ones. They are akin to bees which suck the nectar and produce the honey. They sit on the flower, get the nectar but do not disturb the petals or break the branch they sit on. People like humane person and love to sit and share with him.

To Forgive is the attribute of Allah Karim and He likes those who forgive and forget. Rasool Ullah Salalaho Allihe Wassalm said "A Muslim is - from whose tongue and hands others are safe and A Momin is - from whom others' lives and properties are safe" and "I have been ordained to unite with those who are cut away from me and to forgive those who have been cruel and unjust to me and to give to those who do not give me".

Allah Karim Says:-

WHO SPEND {IN HIS WAY} IN TIME OF PLENTY AND IN TIME OF HARDSHIP, AND HOLD IN CHECK THEIR ANGER, AND PARDON THEIR FELLOW-MEN BECAUSE ALLAH KARIM LOVES THE DOERS OF GOOD. AALE IMRAN (3) : 134.

 

 

 

 

   

Assalamo Allaikum WRWBH! Prayers and Peace for all. It has been three days since the last post. Last one had paused on the mention of TASSAWAF. What is Tassawaf? Huge books are available on the definition alone, however, a very concise but the most comprehensive definition probably is by Ghazali (RA). It says "Worship only Allahu Taala and serve His Creation IE all beings".

All those who choose to tread this path indulge in absolute self purification (Tazkiyae Nafs). Nothing, absolutely nothing attracts them, deters them from the chosen path. For them Allahu Taala' s endorsement of their every action is the sole purpose. Love of Allahu Taala is their life. They refrain from any thing which can hinder their journey towards their cherished goal. Tassawaf stimulates them towards goodness and every pious deed. The most common effects of Tassawaf on a Sufi are:-

---- Sufis overcome their desires and lust.

----They indulge in self purification and self destruction.

----They observe unlimited control over themselves in every facet of personal conduct.

----They teach and train their pupils through self example.

----A Scholar can talk for hours on self purification but a Sufi is the model of self purification.

----Sufis are above any sort of compartmentation/prejudices. They dish out LOVE and LOVE
only to all.

Assalamo Allaikum WRWBH; Prayers and Peace for all. Friends, to love, is embedded in the very nature of human beings. Every human being one way or the other falls in love, becomes captive of this beautiful phenomenon. In fact it is not only exclusive to humans, this passion abounds in all living beings. The love of humans off course is superior to all other beings. Humans love their Creator, seek His Blessing, SUBMIT to Him. This is the path of the Soul and the Soul leaves no tracks, no traces and to know the path one must see the tracks, therefore, the requirement of those who are the Chosen Ones, Blessed Ones arises. Who are these Chosen Ones? Prophets and Messengers of Allahu Taala.

Truth is that LOVE OF ALLAHU TAALA exists in all, be they be Muslims, Hindus, Jews or Christians, however, the essential requirement is identification of the correct path. That path if known and tread ed, the ultimate destination is the Creator, every thing else is put aside. All things not liked by the Creator are shunned by those who seek His Love and Blessing. This path leading to Creator has been shown by His Messengers and pious men.

Some also name it the path of Sufis or Tassawaf, as Tassawaf searches for closeness to Creator and this closeness is achieved through Love (ISHQ), therefore every Sufi proclaims ISHQ E ILLAHI. True Sufis spend their entire live treading the same path and brook no opposition enroute. They try to evade every thing which can take them off their chosen route.

Assalamo Allaikum WRWBH; Prayers and Peace for all. In my last post I had discussed the composition of Human Beings, Body and Soul. The comparison yielded that Body seemed to be the most privileged, enjoying all the perks and conveniences of life. Inference drawn was that Soul certainly is superior to the Body, therefore, it must also have some preferences, some yearnings. It must require some 'Rations' for its sustenance.

What food, therefore, is needed by the Soul? All religions assert that food for Soul is "QURBE RABANI" that is Allah consciousness, proximity or nearness to Allahu Taala. The Soul keeps crying that I want to be united with my Creator. I am confined in this material cage but this is not my abode. It remains restless from within for having been severed from its roots. Maulae Rome describes it beautifully in the very first Mathnavi "Tale of the Reed" (Bansri ki Hikayat). "Ever since I was parted from the Reed Bed, my lament has caused man and woman to moan. I want a bosom torn by severance, that I may unfold (to such a one) the pain of love-desire. EVERY ONE WHO IS LEFT FAR FROM HIS SOURCE WISHES BACK THE TIME WHEN HE WAS UNITED WITH IT. In every company I uttered my wailful notes, I consorted with the unhappy and with them that rejoice. every one became my friend from his own opinion; none sought out my secrets from within me. My secret is not far from my plaint, but ear and eye lack the light (whereby it should be apprehended). Body is not veiled from Soul, nor Soul from Body, yet none is permitted to see the Soul.........The Reed is the comrade of every one who has been parted from a friend: its strains pierced our hearts. ........ O son, burst your chains and be free! How long will you be a bondsman to Silver and Gold". Beautiful isn't it? The Soul, therefore, craves that the Body I am in is not my dwelling. In the darkness of this Body, I do not get that "LIGHT" from which I have been separated. I have to rise above, I have to return to my origin where my roots are. The Holy Quran also exhorts " If We willed man would have been exalted above through these verses (Ayats) but he preferred to remain stuck with the earth and be slave of his lust" (Al-Ahraf - 176). The Soul, therefore, loves its Creator and wants to be only His.
