FROM A SENIOR CITIZEN !

SALAM, DUAIEN AND AADAAB !

Thank you all, my dear friends; for very kind messages ....

In the words of Pablo Picasso "One starts to get young at the age of sixty ... and then it is too late."

And someone else categorised different phases of life as :

"You've heard of the three ages of man -

youth,

middle age,

and "you're looking wonderful"."

Looking or not but FEELING WONDERFUL DEFINITELY I AM ....Love, Affection and Grace shown by you and MY FAMILY is THE SOURCE OF THIS FEELING.

As I look back I see the TALE OF MY LIFE as the ABSOLUTE BLESSING OF ALLAH KARIM exactly as per the oft repeated Ayaa of SURAH RAHMAN "Which of the favours of your Lord do you then deny?" As far as I am concerned " کجھ نہیں میرے پلے".

I will sign off this update with following Punjabi verses from a young poet who died at age 17 when he was studying in First year...read, infer and marvel at his observation.

لکھ حساب میں کیتے، اج تاییں کیہ پایا کیہ کھویا

A MANIFEST SLANDER

SALAM & DUAIEN !

There are people in each segment of our Society who are extremely resilient (read restless);

They hate monotony and continuously clamour for change and when it does occur, instantly brace up for another one BECAUSE THEY THINK THAT THEY ONLY ARE THE WISE PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY WHICH MUST BE RUN AS PER THEIR WHIMS,

Love gossip,

Derive pleasure from maligning others,

Relish imposing themselves without any indulgence in logical discourse.

AND THAT IS WHY CHAOS RULES AND CONFUSION RAINS IN THIS COUNTRY

Allah Karim Says in Quran-e-Hakeem :

He who commits sin does so against his own soul. Allah SWT is all knowing and wise. And anyone who commits an offence or a sin, then charges an innocent person with it, shall certainly bear the guilt of a calumny and a manifest sin. AL-NISA [4] : 111-112.

19 April 2014, witnessed an unfortunate incident where a famous Anchor/Columnist was attacked and injured FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER TRAGEDY OF HUGE MAGNITUDE WHERE BRAZENLY A NATIONAL INSTITUTION OF GREAT REPUTE AND HONOUR AND ITS MILITARY HEAD WERE SUBJECTED TO IMPRUDENT AND PREPOSTEROUS VERBAL ASSAULT AND LUDICROUS ACCUSATION WITHOUT ANY PROOF AND LOGIC.

WHILE VEHEMENTLY CONDEMNING BOTH TRAGEDIES I WANT TO ASK CERTAIN QUESTIONS FROM GOP, SCHOLARS, ANALYSTS, MEDIA PERSONS AND ARMED FORCES HIGH UPS :

Why only the Premier Institution of the Country is being accused and maligned? Couldn't the assailant come from elsewhere?

THE ENEMY could have done this with an intent to CAUSE 'WHAT HAS BEEN' as an aftermath of the tragic incident. The way their Print and Electronic Media has had a 'field day' against ISI while reporting the incident should be an eye opener for all and sundry.

Those who have not taken the responsibility but DECLINED TO CONDEMN the incident could do it because Mr. Mir happens to be on their HIT LIST.

Wali Babur's tragic elimination..... and the Defendants therein could do it as well.

Normal practice by the Killers is that they go for the Jugular Vein by incapacitating the Driver and the Vehicle which they didn't in this case. Clearly the intent was not to ELIMINATE Mr. Mir but to fire and SET ON FIRE..........What do you all say?

It is being reported that there was a Guard too in the Car who failed to fire a single Bullet, Why?

Strange that Five Blanks [only] have been recovered and the report says that Mission went on for about half an hour. Isn't it?

Who all knew the itinerary of Mr. Mir?

Are the ISI people so naive that they would go for THE EXTREME ACT when as per the GEO ANALYSTS Mr. Mir had told ISI that in case of any harm to his person ISI and its Chief will be held responsible? {....and the thought that Mr. Mir must be hiding few Skeletons in his cupboard if he was expecting a reaction from ISI, after all the mission of ISI is 'TO DEFEND THIS NATION' and nothing else whatsoever}.

Are the SHARP SHOOTERS so inefficient that after half an hour only RICOCHETING BULLETS could hit Mr. Mir?

I may sound cruel...but doesn't it sound like a STORYLINE SCRIPT of WWE choreographed Wrestling Match?

Where do all OUTRAGING Mr(s) come from? Who all work for the Indian Media?

Why other Media Houses did not jump on the Band-Wagon? Did they smell something 'FISHY' in the entire Saga?

Have we heard the comments and analysis of PEOPLE WITH INTEGRITY AND REPUTE like Mr. Harun Rashid, Mr. Mujib-Ur-Rahman Shami and others like them?

WHAT ABOUT 'CONSTITUTIONAL VIOLATION' HERE AND THE PEMRA RULES? WOULD GOP (MINDEF) AND THE ARMED FORCES LIKE TO INVOKE THESE IF AS A RESULT OF AN IMPARTIAL INQUIRY IT IS ESTABLISHED THAT ENTIRE EPISODE WAS TO MALIGN THE NO. 1 AGENCY OF THE WORLD?

AND....WILL THERE BE AN INDEPENDENT INQUIRY AFTER ALL TO UNEARTH THE SCRIPT WRITERS, DIRECTORS, ACTORS AND THE EXECUTIONERS?

This case should be taken as a TEST and if the insinuation of GEW Group are correct exemplary action should be taken BUT IF IT IS OTHER WAY ROUND THEN THEY WHO DELIBERATELY TRIED TO DEFAME, SHAME AND MALIGN 'THE ARM WHICH KEEPS THE ENEMY AT BAY' MUST BE MADE EXAMPLE.

I sign off with following Verses from Quran-e-Hakim, AND THESE ARE FOR ISI AND ITS CHIEF:

Those who brought up that slander were a band from among you. DO NOT REGARD IT AS A MISFORTUNE, FOR IT IS GOOD FOR YOU. Every one of them shall be held to account for the sin he has committed; and he who took the greater part in it shall have a terrible punishment.

When you heard of it, why did not the believing men and believing women think well of their own people, and say, "This is a manifest slander?" AN-NUR [24] : 11-12.

THE LIVING GOD !

Salam and Duaien !

Allah SWT Says in Quran :

.............Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron. AR-RA'D [13] : 11.

Inferno at Sibi Railway Station yesterday; burning alive and maiming scores of innocent people.....Grenade throwing incidents throughout the country.

Guavas Detonating at Islamabad today exploding life out of dozens....

AND THERE COMES THE CONDEMNATION AND EDICT....KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE IS FORBIDDEN.

I was privileged for few hours yesterday to have been in the company of a Scholar from AL-AZHAR and Glasgow. The Learned Doctor was:

Highly critical of the security, economic and social environment in Pakistan.

He was depressed on the apathy and inaction of Society and general public as to what had made them accept the tyranny, injustice, coercion, loot, oppression, corruption and INSANE GOVERNORS....

As to how incapacitated and voiceless they have become?

Their immunity to pain, affliction and trauma is bewildering....

Their 'FOR GRANTED-NESS' by the RULERS AND TERRORISTS alike is horrifying...

And.....And.....And......So On.....

Then the Learned Scholar asked as to how the Civil Society and General Public of Pakistan can be BROUGHT TO LIFE....Chances and THE WAY?

In response, I referred the above quoted Verse from Quran-E-Majeed and following verses from another Doctor :

تیرا تن رُوح سے نا آشنا ھے

عجب کیا، آہ تیری نارسا ھے

تنِ بے روح سے بیزار ھے حق

خداۓ زندہ زندوں کا خدا ھے ۔

اللّٰہ کریم ھمیں زندہ کر دے ۔ آمین

'YOURS' 'MINE' AND 'THE TRUTH' !

Salam and Duaien !

Pakistan is passing through 'hard to describe' {....has been for better part of its existence} times; WAR ON TERROR, SWAY OF ERROR and CANON OF EDICT are the FILLS OF THE PLATE....and MUSH's TRIAL is the DARLING of the ADJUDICATORS, DETRACTORS, ANCHORS, MULTITUDES AND THE DOCTORS [Spin and Medical - both].

Friends, every Episode of this Mortal Life generally has Three Versions .... YOURS..... MINE ...... and.....THE TRUTH....... and this Saga of High Treason is no exception:

a. Indictment - five charges ...... MINE take..... RUBBISH ...... YOURS ...... ABSOLUTELY FAIR ........ TRUTH..... DEFINITELY INVOLVED IN A LEAD ROLE IN ALL THAT HE IS BLAMED FOR ... BUT NEITHER HE IS THE FIRST ONE NOR THE ONLY ONE.

b. NS & Co are vendetta driven .......MINE take.....TRUE ..... YOURS ..... RUBBISH ........... TRUTH ......... AS DESCRIBED BY HAZRAT ALI RA "HUMANS CAN FORGIVE BUT NEVER FORGET THE HUMILIATION SUFFERED".

c. Judiciary is overdoing its stuff ......MINE TAKE.....TRUE ....... YOURS ...... RUBBISH ....... TRUTH ....... NEW FOUND EXUBERANCE DOES AFFECT THE RATIONALITY AND WOUNDS DO TAKE TIME TO HEEL MORESO IF ONE HAS BEEN ON THE RECEIVING END.

d. Media is Immature and Partial ..... MINE TAKE ..... TRUE ...... YOURS ...... RUBBISH ...... TRUTH ....... SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN AS ALIGNMENTS, ALLEGIANCES AND SCORES/SCARS MAKE PEOPLE INTERPRET/SAY WHAT THEY SAY.

e. Should the Abettors be brought to the Book .... MINE TAKE ...... YEAH ...... YOURS ...... NAY ....... TRUTH ......... FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION OF ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN.

f. Should 'he' be allowed to GO ...... MINE TAKE ...... YEAH ..... YOURS ..... NAY ....... TRUTH ....... WE ALL HAVE MOTHERS.

Final Thought : START FROM SIKANDAR MIRZA AND COME DOWN TO MUSH; ALL ABETTORS INCLUDED .... POLITICIANS ...... JUDICIARY .... BUREAUCRACY {CIVIL AND MILITARY}........PLACE GARBAGE BINS ENGRAVED WITH FACES OF ALL THOSE PLAYED WITH THE DESTINY OF PAKISTAN AND ITS PEOPLE AND SUBJECTED IT TO PERSISTENT 'HARD TO DESCRIBE' TIMES.

AMERICAN HAVE THEIR MOUNT RUSHMORE WE CAN HAVE OUR GARBAGE BINS ..... AND THAT IS 'MINE TAKE'.... WHAT ABOUT 'YOURS'?

MARCH 23, PAKISTAN AND WE !

Salam, Duaien and Happy Pakistan Day !

We all have been told, taught and taken to believe that on March 23, 1940 at Manto Park Lahore ML Session a Resolution was tabled by Maulvi A K Fazle Haq, Sher-e-Bengal which was unanimously approved and became 'THE LAUNCHPAD' for creation of State of Pakistan.

We also know for sure that word Pakistan did not figure out in that Resolution...it talked of states and areas.....

We also know that One State 'Pakistan' came in via an amendment in the original Resolution moved by H S Suharwardi [another leader from Bengal - It ought to bother us that Bengalis were the forerunners of Pakistan Movement so what forced them to change course - persistent mistakes, injustice and bad governance...may be?] in 1946 Session of ML CEC.

We (most of us) are what we are..... due to Pakistan...

We also know that ALL THE BENEFICIARIES have acted like Scavengers and lynched Pakistan in every conceivable manner.....AND THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS WHATSOEVER.

We also must admit that soon after creation of Pakistan 'THE CENTRE STAGE' was occupied by those who did not/still do not believe in PAKISTAN.

We also must acknowledge that we failed to become A NATION because THE HYENAS [Those who held the reins] were only concerned for THE BONES...had no COMMITMENT, no VISION, no RESOLVE and no FEAR OF PEOPLE AND ALLAH SWT {STILL HAVE NONE}...so the Method and Application for becoming a Nation never became part of practical curricula.

Incompetence of Political leadership sowed frustration and reaped Military dictatorship...Dictators who were not trained and had no capacity to lead the Nation so the Sycophancy overwhelmed them very early in their mis-adventures.

We made State of Pakistan a Heaven for anti-state elements (called non-state actors nowadays)...State became butt for everything....and those who dared to talk against the bad governance and stupid, self-serving, rotten leadership were/are promptly termed TRAITORS.....

Killers/Traitors from all Walks of Life are given a place of respect... and..... AUTHORITY bends AWKWARDLY AND READILY to sit with and pay salutation to THUGS.

TRUE PAKISTANIS ARE A 'FOR GRANTED COMMODITY'....THEY MUST FACE TRIAL, TRIBULATION, HUMILIATION AND RENDER SACRIFICES....LIFE, PROPERTY AND HONOUR.

'Freedom of Expression' is a basic human right and must be respected and nurtured but in PAKISTAN IT IS BEING EXERCISED BY ONLY ONE SGMENT OF SOCIETY - THE MEIDA where it has attained hitherto unknown, unethical and unacceptable dimensions..NO HOLDS BARRED coercion is THE ORDER OF THE DAY...Very Foundation and Pillars of State are attacked without any fear of accountability or remorse.

WE ALSO MUST ADMIT THAT ALLEGIANCE OF OUR LEADERS [POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS AND POTENTIAL] IS GUARANTEED TO LANDS OUT OF PAKISTANI BORDERS....NEAR OR FAR....MAY IT BE US, BEDUIN KINGDOMS, KIASERS OR KISRAS.

Ideas/opinions by ordinary Pakistanis ANYWHERE are disallowed AS INDIANS/DOGS WERE NOT... AT PLACES IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. IT IS A ONE MAN GANG...WHICH RUNS THE SHOW ...Disagreements have no room.....and Dissenters must find a place somewhere in Gulf Countries if they have the money or GO FOR HIKING.

LOT OF THINGS HAPPENING AROUND, AGITATE AND IRRITATE ME AND MY QUESTION TO ALL FRIENDS IS 'DO YOU TOO'? DO YOU SEE THE OVERFLOWING CHEERING CROWDS IN BANGLADESH DURING CRICKET MATCHES....TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND............................?

THE FAILURE IS COLLECTIVE SO IS THE RESPONSIBILITY TO GET UP AND GET GOING.

HOPE IS THERE, WE STILL MAY BE ABLE TO 'AFFECT A RETURN'....DO WE HAVE THE WILL?

Guard the freedom of ideas at all costs.

Be alert that dictators have always played on the natural human tendency to blame others and to oversimplify.

And don't regard yourself as a guardian of freedom unless you respect and preserve the rights of people you disagree with to free, public, unhampered expression.

ثناخوانِ تقدیس مشرق کہاں ھیں ؟

'حوا کی ایک اور بیٹی لٹی اور پھر جل مری

'بے چاری کو اُمید تھی اِنصاف کی

'بے غیرت ضمیر فروشوں سے

'بیٹیوں کے ساتھ زیادتی کرنے والے درندوں کو بچانے والوں سے

'زانیوں سے

'زانیوں کو داماد بنانے والوں سے

'سچ کے قاتلوں سے

'جھوٹ کے پجاريوں سے

'الہّٰہ کے باغیوں سے

'ظالم سے ڈرنے والے بزدلوں سے

تمھارے لیے سکون کی دعا کرتے ھوے بتا رھا ھوں کہ اب ۔

'سوموٹو بھی ھو گا

'بیان بھی آیںں گے

'انسانی ھمدردی بھی جاگے گی

اور پھر کوی حوا کی بیٹی درندگی کا شکار بنے گی اور جل مرے گی !

مدد چاھتی ھے یہ حوا کی بیٹی

MUSALMAAN AUR SHARAB !

Salam and Duaien !

Two years to the date a Brother had called me enquiring about "THE ALCOHOL AND STIPULATIONS ABOUT ITS PROHIBITION IN ISLAM". I remember discussing with him the background and THE OBTAINING STATUS OF ALCOHOL as per Quranic Injunctions. Same brother called me again yesterday and wanted to refresh the references for someone sitting in his company. MAY ALLAH REWARD HIM ADEQUATELY FOR HIS INTEREST.

While acknowledging MY INADEQUACY to delve into the subject, I have endeavoured to consult different TAFASSER-E-QURAN by renowned Islamic Scholars who are unanimous in their comments that IT IS PROHIBITED :

Tafseer-E-Naeemi by Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Naeemi.

Ma'arif-Ul-Quran by Mufti Muhammad Shafi.

Tibiyan-Ul-Quran by Allama Ghulam Rasool Saeedi.

Zia-Ul-Quran by Peer Muhammad Karam Shah Al-Azhari.

Let us see the verses of Quran on the subject in the order as these were revealed :

a. They ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning alcoholic drink and gambling. Say: "In them is a great sin, and (some) benefit for men, but the sin of them is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they ought to spend. Say: "That which is beyond your needs." Thus Allah makes clear to you His Laws in order that you may give thought."

AL-BAQARA [2] : 219.

b. O you who believe! Approach not As-Salat (the prayer) when you are in a drunken state until you know (the meaning) of what you utter, nor when you are in a state of Janaba, (i.e. in a state of sexual impurity and have not yet taken a bath) except when travelling on the road (without enough water, or just passing through a mosque), till you wash your whole body. And if you are ill, or on a journey, or one of you comes after answering the call of nature, or you have been in contact with women (by sexual relations) and you find no water, perform Tayammum with clean earth and rub therewith your faces and hands (Tayammum). Truly, Allah is Ever Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving.

AL-NISA [4] : 43.

c. O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), gambling, Al-Ansab, and Al-Azlam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaitan's (Satan) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful. Shaitan (Satan) wants only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah and from As-Salat (the prayer). So, will you not then abstain?

AL-MAIDA [5] : 90-91.

Excessive use of Alcohol in the Arabian Peninsula was a norm. Production and Consumption was both huge and frequent. There were, however, certain companions who abhorred its use and effects. Hazrat Omar bin Al-Khtaab was the leader of this group who would supplicate before Allah Karim for clear injunctions on the subject and would request Prophet ﷺ to Beseech Allahu Ta'ala for the revelation.

The first Revealed Verse is of Surah Baqara {a above} which laid bare its sinful side and disadvantages while indicating that it had certain benefits which were far outweighed by the disadvantages BUT STOPPED SHORT OF ITS TOTAL PROHIBITION. After the Revelation some companions quit while others continued its consumption.

One day Hazrat Abdal Rahman Bin Auf ؓ arranged a gathering of friends in which Alcohol was consumed and most were drunk....meanwhile the time for Maghrib Prayer came and one of them lead the Namaz as Imam and while reciting Surah Al-Kafiroon recited "I worship those (idols) that you worship." instead of "I do not worship those (idols) that you worship." Verse of Surah Al-Nisa {b above) was revealed as a sequel to this incident.

Some time later another party was organized by Utbaan Bin Malik in which again the participants lost their senses and a fight erupted on the subject of ETHNIC SUPERIORITY.....Incident was reported to Prophet ﷺ and Hazrat Omar again supplicated for its prohibition, on which the Verses of Al-Maida {c above} came with very clear order on the subject.

This day marked yet another display of complete submission by Muslims as they threw Cans, Bottles, everything, all Containers of SHARAB on the streets. THE HISTORY PAGES TELL US THAT EVEN THOSE ACQUISITIONS WERE DESTROYED WHICH WERE PROCURED AND PRODUCED AGES AGO.

MAY ALLAH KARIM BE PLEASED WITH THEM ALL........AND.......

MAY ALLAH KARIM BESTOW UPON US THE STRENGTH AND FACULTIES TO UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW AL-ISLAM AS IT IS........WITHOUT IFS, BUTS, DENIALS AND ALIBIS.
