Salam and Duaion .....

While surfing through today's print media, I got stuck with the column اصل جمہوری فعالیت کی ضرورت by Mr. Rasool Baksh Raees :`

The learned Doctor has appositely described the political misery engulfing the State of Pakistan and its hapless people. The questions, however, arise :-

Is it only Pakistan or the entire Muslim World?

The imposed rulers draw inspiration from whom?

When did the Democracy exist AS IT SHOULD BE?

Do the rulers know what formed the basis of governance in a Muslim State or do they really know what DEMOCRACY IS? .......................... And many more ......

I am reminded of the STATE ADDRESSES by two Muslim Rulers, just a century apart which should suffice to answer all questions; address by first caliph after assumption of POWER and exactly after 123 years, the address by Caliph Mansoor Al-Abbasi...

First tells us what the FEAR OF GOD, GOVERNANCE, JUSTICE, DEMOCRACY, POWER OF PEOPLE, RULES OF ALLEGIANCE and PERSONA OF RULER ought to be ..... Second tells us about the DEGENERATION, ARROGANCE, DISDAIN FOR ANY ACCOUNTABILITY and DESPOTISM ......

Caliph Abu Bakr Siddiq RA Said :-

O men ! here I have been assigned the job of ruling over you, WHILE I AM NOT THE BEST AMONG YOU.

If I do well in my job, HELP ME. If I do wrong, REDRESS ME.

TRUTHFULNESS IS FIDELITY, LYING IS TREASON.

The weak shall be strong in my eyes, UNTIL I RESTORE TO THEM THEIR RIGHT, and the strong shall be weak in my eye UNTIL I HAVE DISPOSSESSED THEM OF THAT RIGHT.

No people give up fighting for the cause of God, but He inflicts upon them the abject subjection, and NO PEOPLE GIVE THEMSELVES TO LEWDNESS, BUT HE ENVELOPS THEM WITH MISERY.

Obey me as long as I OBEY GOD AND HIS PROPHET.

But if I disobey the command of God and His Prophet, THEN NO OBEDIENCE IS INCUMBENT UPON YOU.

Rise to your prayer so God May have mercy on you.

Mansoor Al-Abbasi opened his reign with :-

O men ! I am the Power of God on His earth.

I rule you with His guidance and confirmation.

I am the guardian over His wealth, and I manage it by His will and in accordance with His pattern. I DISBURSE FROM IT WITH HIS PERMISSION, FOR HE HAS MADE ME THE LOCK.

IF HE CHOOSES TO OPEN ME SO THAT YOU MAY RECEIVE THEREFROM AND BE PROVIDED FOR, HE WILL.

AND IF HE CHOOSES TO KEEP ME LOCKED, HE WILL .........

I leave it to the readers to observe the great change which Politics, Family Inc, Wealth and NO-FEAR can bring ......... AND DECIDE THAT RULERS OF TODAY ...... are ............. SIDDIQS or MANSOORS ......... and ...and ..... and .......... their DEMOCRACY ....

Every year 5 February is observed as Kashmir Day in Pakistan and Kashmiris do it world over. Seminars, Messages, Resolutions and Renewal of Pledge are the manifestations.....

Kashmiris, however, remain where they have been since partition and long before that .... UNDER THE OCCUPATION, TYRANNY and OPPRESSION .....

Governments have their (personal) compulsions, (international) pressures and survival dilemmas .... but 'WE THE PEOPLE' stand firmly with the Freedom Struggle of Kashmiris, support their Right of Self Determination and Salute their :

Gigantic Sacrifices,

Unflinching Commitment to the Cause,

Steely Resolve to withstand the tyranny,

Monumental Perseverance against the heaviest of the odds,

So People of Kashmir, We know YOU HAVE SUCCEEDED ... and.... YOU WILL SUCCEED IN SHA ALLAH :-

"Success is not measured by what you accomplish, BUT BY THE OPPOSITION YOU HAVE ENCOUNTERED, and the COURAGE WITH WHICH you have maintained THE STRUGGLE against OVERWHELMING ODDS."

Life is Transformation ... Unthinkable happens, People from nowhere create history, A Muslim state emerges in the Land of Idols .... and then ..... Friends become Foe .... Lies become Truth .... Promises become History .... Resolve becomes Frustration ..... Movements Evaporate ..... Depression Rains .... Hope Dithers .... Denial Blooms ... Those who live in Denial detest CHANGE .....BUT EVERY DAY IS A NEW DAY .... CHANGE IS THE REALITY HENCE TRANSFORMATION INEVITABLE !

ثبات ایک تغیر کو ہے زمانے میں

So much has been happening in the month of January both internally and externally ... But focus is on INTERNAL .... TERROR, ERRORS, and FUROR :-

Demon of Terror which looked subdued in 2015 raised its ugly head again, targeting the unarmed peaceful and innocent children and masses ... EVIDENCING THAT IT IS AROUND AND "BEING FED BY THE ENEMY" whom we want to befriend unilaterally ... so much so that SM is filled with a story that WE ORDERED OUR HIGH COMMISSION TO 'SHUT UP' ON VANDALIZING OF OUR STATE OFFICES IN THAT COUNTRY .... Whereas some Mehsud is narrating the lyrics of the SONG OF BETRAYAL written by our hugging cousin .... and we are like :-

احساس میں شدید طلاطم کے باوجود

چپ ہوں، مجھے سکون میسر ہو جس طرح

Corruption, Tales of Terror, Sagas of Horror, Employment of Rangers and Derailment of NAP has suddenly ushered in a turmoil .... Well, well, well A Rajpoot can forgive alright but forget no way .... remember someone had threatened someone "I WILL TAKE YOU TO THE CLEANERS" .... and that someone was told to 'BE PATIENT' because that was the need of the hour ... he had obliged then but now ITS ANOTHER DAY....

[and what a travesty ...... those who were termed as underwear washing gypsies, law squashing intruders ... their demand of NATIONAL GOVERNMENT and their use of term 'مک مکا' is now echoing ..... بدلتا ہے رنگ آسماں کیسے کیسے ]

آ کہ اب تسلیم کر لیں، تو نہیں تو میں سہی

کون مانے گا کہ ہم میں بے وفا کوئ نہیں

...... AND THEN THERE IS A DECISION .... In our beautiful Pakistan everything is exceptional ... Laid down contractual period is 3 years ... the transformation should be a routine .... one goes after doing his bit and successor moves in quietly with decor and dignity .... does his thing and leave ... but if it was like that THEN PAKISTAN WOULD HAVE BEEN 'PAKISTAN' of the FOUNDING FATHERS and not of midgets on the display... کہاں گئے وہ لوگ؟

تو مجھے ڈھونڈھ، میں تجھے ڈھونڈوں

کوئ ہم میں سے رہ گیا ہے کہیں

For arriving at a decision, there are different ways and I do not really know which one he used to make what he made :-

THE CEREBRAL WAY ... Engage .... Evaluate ..... and .... Evolve ... 9 out of 10 times it will facilitate A RIGHT DECISION .... but 9 out of 10 times it will have the, ifs, buts, thens, hows and whys attached ........

THE GORILLAS WAY .... Chest Thumping, Heart Pumping and HELL CAMPING ... Decisions made with Heart without involvement of Brain may normally take THE TAKER to a pit right away...

HEEDING TO THE INNER VOICE ...... Every human is vested with the faculty of INTUITION ..... Call it KASHAF (کشف), INTUITION or GUT FEELING .... its the inner voice 'THE ESOTERIC POINTER' .... 9 out of 10 times it may turn out be correct ... ..

Hope, he heeded to the INNER VOICE ... GOOD LUCK TO HIM AND THE LEGACY HE IS TRYING TO LEAVE .... PRAY THAT 'THE ORGANIZATION' and COUNTRY are stronger, safer and Savor ....... once he leaves.

TAIL PIECE : PAKISTAN MUST UNDERGO TRANSFORMATION FOR GOOD. There are millions of Ex-Servicemen from Pak Army, Navy, PAF and Civil Armed Forces .... and most of us may not have more than 10-15 years active life. To show our gratitude to Allah Karim and His Benevolence Pakistan {whatever we are today from Soldier to a General we are due to Pakistan} ... lets step up and be counted FOR PAKISTAN ... ALWAYS PAKISTAN ..... The Ex Servicemen Society must be turned into a vibrant body and every single EX should be brought on board .... LETS HELP OURSELVES BY TRANSFORMING OUR PAKISTAN AND MAKING IT THE PAKISTAN AS DREAMED BY THE FOUNDING FATHERS ..... Pakistan is wilting, wailing and waiting for all true Pakistanis to GET UP and GET GOING .....

حضورِ یار ہوی دفترِ جنوں کی طلب

گرہ میں لے کے گریباں کا تار تار چلے

THE CHANGE IS HERE !

Absolutely correct "We have brought The Real Change in the Country".

Decades ago we had bid farewell to God Consciousness and any fear thereof ....

Those whom we feared ... Well we have managed to internally entangle them from Kemari to Landi Kotal and externally engaged them from Washington to Riyadh to Tehran to Kabul (Delhi we deal exclusively) and they can't do anything else ......

And icing on the cake is that their all achievements are 'ours' and our all failures are 'theirs' ..,.

So amass money through corruption, coercion and terror ... We have got the bill through ... Dry Clean It.

NAP ... Has never been our concern and why Charsada carnage should compel us to change ... Such incidents are a routine and 'THEIR FAILURE'..

So damn what if all constituencies being opened were OBs .... We are IN and have plans placed in our cupboards to remain around even after our departure from this world .... Till our great grand children we have finalized the plan .... SO YOU OUR SUBJECTS HAVE NO CHANCE...

.... And you think we suffer from memory loss and don't remember our promises about POWER .... we meant POWER which is now with us and not the God Damned Power and Gas etc which you misunderstood.... And why after all you require light and flame????

Come the time of Ballot you will damn well vote for us and who cares if you don't ... Our boxes will be filled anyway and you will have egg on your faces.... BUT DON'T YOU WORRY WE WILL GIVE YOU LOLLY POPS then .... And you will believe too like you have been since 80s ... YOU RETARDS.

..... And don't you dare to talk anything against anything we are doing ..... Forget about Mullah Burqa and employment of Rangers in 'our Pakistan'...

DEMON's DANCE .... CONTINUES !

The enemy strikes again; Hope is killed, Dream is shattered, Future is crippled, Neros come out with their flutes, play the old tune all over again and life goes on ....

Just read a write up from a young man; which says it all :

کیا صرف بیان دینے سے ،مذمت کرنے ،فوٹو سیشن کروانے سے دہشت گردی ختم ہوجاءے گی ؟
نیشنل ایکشن پلان پر عمل درآمد کیوں نہیں ہوا ؟
کیا سیکورٹی فورسز اور حکمران صرف کمیٹیاں بنائیں گے اور نونہالان قوم اپنی جان سے ہاتھ دوھوتے رہیں گے ؟
دہشت گرد تنظیمیں نام بدل کر کام کر رہی ہیں ۔۔۔۔۔ان کو بند کیا جائے گا ؟
کیا غیر ملکی فنڈنگ بند کروائی جاءے گی ؟

My friend, some day .... As for now, we can hide behind the steel walls of our Castles, Bullet/Bomb proof pricey Carriers, surrounded by human shield acquired at the lowest rate .... for us and our pets...

Whenever the Demons Dance, we can come out with our damned expressionless stony faces, issue 'filed statements', make 'usual robotic promises' and get back to our craft we are best at ... CLASS (Cheat, Lie, and Amass by Stealing and Scavenging).

ٓAs far as 'the subjects' are concerned :

اپنے رستے ہوے زخموں پہ چھڑکھ لیتے ہیں

راکھ جھڑتی ہے جو احساس کے انگاروں سے

For those whose charges put their lives on line 60/24/7 :

High time to shrink from the people who have tried to dramatize everything about ... Time to put the foot down or stick up for getting the NAP going without fear or favor, firmly.

Certainly you are looking into : Any act of terror (self orchestrated or perpetrated) across, sets in sympathetic detonation in Pakistan. Isn't it strange?

Nothing diplomatic or personal should take our focus away from our own vulnerable yards .... for those who show no concern for our miseries .... let them launder their own filth .... and as regards THE ENEMY ... Don't be over enthusiastic to embrace him, lowering your guards will send you into a BEAR HUG.

SUCCESS 'ONLY SUCCESS' IS 'THE OPTION' ... NOTHING ELSE .... Do whatever it takes to succeed.

VALUATION .....

Salam and Duaien !

PAKITAN ... AND ..... WE

{Allah does not change men's condition unless they change their inner selves; and when Allah wills people to suffer evil [in consequence of their own evil deeds], there is none who could avert it: for they have none who could protect them from Him.} AR-Ra'ad : 11.

Last night during my routine dose of study, I dosed off into the World of Engrossment .... In an assembly of millions, saw a radiating, energy oozing, ready to take off but CHAINED body, covered with a slice of White and lot of Green ....

All simultaneously exclaimed 'WHAT IS IT' ....

'Don't you recognize me? I am your Pakistan ...'

'Why are you chained?'

'You know, after the Founding Father, the Kneaders failed to Knead me properly. I nursed them but they compromised me for their self centered petty gains.. They chained me to plunder, surrender and squander at will without any fear or fright. Some of them imposed themselves forcibly on me, others 'the enforcers' selected and subsequently you took over to elect them to lynch me.'

'Most sowed the seeds of dissensions, sectarian divides, ethnic prejudices, parochialism and extremism. Weapons like Kalashnikov, Heroin, Bursting Jackets, road side Explosives etc etc are their gifts; Deceit, lies, recklessness and unreliability, their forte. No holds barred corruption, extortion and corpses carrying sacks are their inventions..'

'..... And you my sons, you failed to check them and correct yourself in making the right choices ....

'So you are unfortunate .... Why don't you resign to the fate?' We said.

.... Smiling affectionately, speaking lovingly Pakistan said :

NO I AM NOT UNFORTUNATE ...

AND WHAT YOU SEE IS NOT MY FATE .....

IF ONLY YOU REALIZE THAT, YOU ARE THE ONE I DEPEND UPON AND YOUR 'SUBMISSIVE CHARACTER' and 'SILENT SPECTATOR' mold is the sole reason of my sufferings.

I still can compete with the very best there is ... but someone will have to remove my CHAINS;

Defer personal gains;

Relieve my miseries and pains ...... and let the ...

Love Glow;

Brotherhood Flow;

Justice Grow ... and .....

Peace Brow.

نہ یہ تقدیر کا لکھا تھا، نہ منشائے خدا

حادثے مجھ پر جو گذرے "میرے حالات" میں تھے

DUA ........... !

Salam and Duaien !

I was privileged to be one of the guest speakers in a seminar organized by Islamic International University Islamabad. I concluded my talk with a special Dua derived from different Duas of Syedna Shiekh Abdul Qadir Gilani RA. One of the participating scholars recently asked me to provide a copy of Dua to him. Gratefully I share Dua with him and other friends:-

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

یا الٰہی امام اور امت، حکمران اور عوام؛ دونوں کی اصلاح فرما۔

اِن کے دلوں میں نیکیوں کی محبت پیدا فرما ۔

اِنہیں ایک دوسرے سے نفرت و عداوت سے بچا ۔

اللہ کریم تو ہم سب کی ظاہری اور چھپی ہوئ باتوں کو جانتاہے، ہماری درستگی فرما۔

ہم گناہوں میں لتھڑے ہوے ہیں، ہماری بخشش و مغفرت فرما ۔

ہمیں توفیق عطا فرما کہ ہم ہر اُس کام سے رک جائیں، جس سے تو نے روکا ہے۔ اور ہر وہ عمل اختیار کر لیں، جس کے کرنے کا تو نے حکم دیا ہے ۔

الٰہی ہمیں گناہوں کی ذلت سے نکال لےاور ہماری پردہ پوشی فرما ۔

اپنے سوا ہر غیر سے ہمارے دل پھیر دے اور اپنی اطاعت و بندگی کے ذریعے ہمیں عزت نصیب فرما ۔

اللہ کریم ہمیں اپنے ذکر میں مشغول فرما دے اور ہر حال میں شکر ادا کرنے والا اور صحیح طریقے سے بندگی کرنے والا بنا دے ۔

لا اِلٰہَ الاّ اللہُ مَا شا۶َ اللہُ کانَ لا قوةَ اِلّا بِاللہِ العلِیِ العظیم

اللہ کریم ہماری لغزشیں اور غفلتیں کثیر ہیں، در گذر فرما ۔

الٰہی ہم تجھ سے ایسا ایمان مانگتے ہیں جو تیری بارگاہ میں پیش کیے جانے کے لائق ہو، ایسا ایقان مانگتے ہیں جس کے ساتھ روزِ قیامت تیرے حضور کھڑے ہو سکیں ۔

ایسی عصمت عطا کر جو گناہوں کی ہلاکتوں سے بچنے کا وسیلہ ہو اور ایسی رحمت فرما جو عیبوں کی گندگی سے ہمیں پاک کر دے ۔

ایسا علم عطا فرما جس سے ہم تیرے اوامر و نواہی کو جاننے کے قابل ہو سکیں اور ایسی سمجھ ہمارا مقدر بنا دے جو تیری بارگاہ میں مناجاتِ صحیحہ کرنا سکھا دے ۔

اے اللہ تو دنیا و آخرت میں ہمیں اپنے ولیوں میں شامل فرما اور ہمارے دلوں کو اپنی معرفت کے نور سے بھر دے ۔

اے اللہ تو ہمارے عقول کی آنکھوں کو اپنی ہدائت کے سرمہ سے مزین فرما دے ۔

اے رحمان ہمارے افکار و خیالات کو شبہات سے محفوظ فرما دے اور ہمارے نفوس کو اِن کی ہلاکت خیزیوں میں گِر پڑنے سے روک لے ۔

یا اللہ نماز کو قائم کرنے میں ہماری مدد فرما ۔

اے اللہ جہاں امید ہم سے منقطع ہو جائے گی اور جب ہمارے اپنے ہمیں قبر کی تاریکیوں میں اتار کر ہم سے منہ پھیر کر چلے جائیں گے اور جہاں ہم صرف اپنے اعمال کے رحم و کرم پر ہوں گے وہاں اُس مشکل گھڑی میں تُو ہماری طرف نظرِ کرم فرمانا ۔

اِلٰہی اپنے کمزور بندوں کو خطا و لغزش سے پاک رہنے پر ثابت قدم فرمااور زبانوں پرہر وقت وہ بات جاری فرما دے جو سننے والوں کو نفع پہنچاے اور سخت دلوں کو نرم کر دے ۔

یا پروردگار میری، تمام حاضرین اور جملہ مسلمانوں کی بخشش فرما دے ۔
