MARCH 23, PAKISTAN AND WE !

Salam, Duaien and Happy Pakistan Day !

We all have been told, taught and taken to believe that on March 23, 1940 at Manto Park Lahore ML Session a Resolution was tabled by Maulvi A K Fazle Haq, Sher-e-Bengal which was unanimously approved and became 'THE LAUNCHPAD' for creation of State of Pakistan.

We also know for sure that word Pakistan did not figure out in that Resolution...it talked of states and areas.....

We also know that One State 'Pakistan' came in via an amendment in the original Resolution moved by  H S Suharwardi [another leader from Bengal - It ought to bother us that Bengalis were the forerunners of Pakistan Movement so what forced them to change course - persistent mistakes, injustice and bad governance...may be?] in 1946 Session of ML CEC.

We (most of us) are what we are..... due to Pakistan...

We also know that ALL THE BENEFICIARIES have acted like Scavengers and lynched Pakistan in every conceivable manner.....AND THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS WHATSOEVER. 

We also must admit that soon after creation of Pakistan 'THE CENTRE STAGE' was occupied by those who did not/still do not believe in PAKISTAN.

We also must acknowledge that we failed to become A NATION because THE HYENAS [Those who held the reins] were only concerned for THE BONES...had no COMMITMENT,  no VISION, no RESOLVE and no FEAR OF PEOPLE AND ALLAH SWT {STILL HAVE NONE}...so the Method and Application for becoming a Nation never became part of practical curricula.

Incompetence of Political leadership sowed frustration and reaped Military dictatorship...Dictators who were not trained and had no capacity to lead the Nation so the Sycophancy overwhelmed them very early in their mis-adventures. 

We made State of Pakistan a Heaven for anti-state elements (called non-state actors nowadays)...State became butt for everything....and those who dared to talk against the bad governance and stupid, self-serving, rotten leadership were/are promptly termed TRAITORS.....

Killers/Traitors from all Walks of Life are given a place of respect... and..... AUTHORITY bends AWKWARDLY AND READILY to sit with and pay salutation to THUGS. 

TRUE PAKISTANIS ARE A 'FOR GRANTED COMMODITY'....THEY MUST FACE TRIAL, TRIBULATION, HUMILIATION AND RENDER SACRIFICES....LIFE, PROPERTY AND HONOUR.

'Freedom of Expression' is a basic human right and must be respected and nurtured but in PAKISTAN IT IS BEING EXERCISED BY ONLY ONE SGMENT OF SOCIETY - THE MEIDA where it  has attained hitherto unknown, unethical and unacceptable dimensions..NO HOLDS BARRED coercion is THE ORDER OF THE DAY...Very Foundation and Pillars of State are attacked without any fear of accountability or remorse.

WE ALSO MUST ADMIT THAT ALLEGIANCE OF OUR LEADERS [POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS AND POTENTIAL] IS GUARANTEED TO LANDS OUT OF PAKISTANI BORDERS....NEAR OR FAR....MAY IT BE US, BEDUIN KINGDOMS, KIASERS OR KISRAS.

Ideas/opinions by ordinary Pakistanis ANYWHERE are disallowed AS INDIANS/DOGS WERE NOT... AT PLACES IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. IT IS A ONE MAN GANG...WHICH RUNS THE SHOW ...Disagreements have no room.....and Dissenters must find a place somewhere in Gulf Countries if they have the money or GO FOR HIKING.

LOT OF THINGS HAPPENING AROUND, AGITATE AND IRRITATE ME AND MY QUESTION TO ALL FRIENDS IS 'DO YOU TOO'? DO YOU SEE THE OVERFLOWING CHEERING CROWDS IN BANGLADESH DURING CRICKET MATCHES....TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND............................?


THE FAILURE IS COLLECTIVE SO IS THE RESPONSIBILITY TO GET UP AND GET GOING. 

HOPE IS THERE, WE STILL MAY BE ABLE TO 'AFFECT A RETURN'....DO WE HAVE THE WILL?


HAPPY PAKISTAN DAY ...  and I sign off with Prayers and following quote :
Guard the freedom of ideas at all costs. 
Be alert that dictators have always played on the natural human tendency to blame others and to oversimplify.

'حوا کی ایک اور بیٹی لٹی اور پھر جل مری

'بے چاری کو اُمید تھی اِنصاف کی

'بے غیرت ضمیر فروشوں سے

'بیٹیوں کے ساتھ زیادتی کرنے والے درندوں کو بچانے والوں سے

'زانیوں سے

'زانیوں کو داماد بنانے والوں سے

'سچ کے قاتلوں سے

'جھوٹ کے پجاريوں سے

'الہّٰہ کے باغیوں سے

'ظالم سے ڈرنے والے بزدلوں سے

تمھارے لیے سکون کی دعا کرتے ھوے   بتا رھا ھوں کہ اب ۔

'سوموٹو بھی ھو گا

'بیان بھی آیںں گے


'انسانی ھمدردی بھی جاگے گی

اور پھر کوی حوا کی بیٹی درندگی کا شکار بنے گی اور جل مرے گی !



مدد چاھتی ھے یہ حوا کی بیٹی

MUSALMAAN AUR SHARAB !

Salam and Duaien !

Two years to the date a Brother had called me enquiring about "THE ALCOHOL AND STIPULATIONS ABOUT ITS PROHIBITION IN ISLAM". I remember discussing with him the background and THE OBTAINING STATUS OF ALCOHOL as per Quranic Injunctions. Same brother called me again yesterday and wanted to refresh the references for someone sitting in his company. MAY ALLAH REWARD HIM ADEQUATELY FOR HIS INTEREST.

While acknowledging MY INADEQUACY to delve into the subject,  I have endeavoured to consult different TAFASSER-E-QURAN by renowned Islamic Scholars who are unanimous in their comments that IT IS PROHIBITED :
  • Tafseer-E-Naeemi by Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Naeemi. 
  • Ma'arif-Ul-Quran by Mufti Muhammad Shafi. 
  • Tibiyan-Ul-Quran by Allama Ghulam Rasool Saeedi. 
  • Zia-Ul-Quran by Peer Muhammad Karam Shah Al-Azhari.
Let us see the verses of Quran on the subject in the order as these were revealed :
a.   They ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning alcoholic drink and gambling. Say: "In them is a great sin, and (some) benefit for men, but the sin of them is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they ought to spend. Say: "That which is beyond your needs." Thus Allah makes clear to you His Laws in order that you may give thought." 
AL-BAQARA [2] : 219.
b. O you who believe! Approach not As-Salat (the prayer) when you are in a drunken state until you know (the meaning) of what you utter, nor when you are in a state of Janaba, (i.e. in a state of sexual impurity and have not yet taken a bath) except when travelling on the road (without enough water, or just passing through a mosque), till you wash your whole body. And if you are ill, or on a journey, or one of you comes after answering the call of nature, or you have been in contact with women (by sexual relations) and you find no water, perform Tayammum with clean earth and rub therewith your faces and hands (Tayammum). Truly, Allah is Ever Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving. 
AL-NISA [4] : 43.
 c.   O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), gambling, Al-Ansab, and Al-Azlam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaitan's (Satan) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful. Shaitan (Satan) wants only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah and from As-Salat (the prayer). So, will you not then abstain? 
AL-MAIDA [5] : 90-91.

Excessive use of Alcohol in the Arabian Peninsula was a norm. Production and Consumption was both huge and frequent. There were, however, certain companions who abhorred its use and effects. Hazrat Omar bin Al-Khtaab was the leader of this group who would supplicate before Allah Karim for clear injunctions on the subject and would request Prophet  ﷺ to Beseech Allahu Ta'ala for the revelation.

The first Revealed Verse is of Surah Baqara {a above} which laid bare its sinful side and disadvantages while indicating that it had certain benefits which were far outweighed by the disadvantages BUT STOPPED SHORT OF  ITS TOTAL PROHIBITION. After the Revelation some companions quit while others continued its consumption.

One day Hazrat Abdal Rahman Bin Auf   ؓ   arranged a gathering of friends in which Alcohol was consumed and most were drunk....meanwhile the time for Maghrib Prayer came and one of them lead the Namaz as Imam and while reciting Surah Al-Kafiroon recited  "I worship those (idols) that you worship." instead of  "I do not worship those (idols) that you worship." Verse of Surah Al-Nisa {b above) was revealed as a sequel to this incident.

Some time later another party was organized by Utbaan Bin Malik in which again the participants lost their senses and a fight erupted on the subject of ETHNIC SUPERIORITY.....Incident was reported to Prophet  ﷺ and Hazrat Omar again supplicated for its prohibition, on which the Verses of Al-Maida {c above} came with very clear order on the subject.

This day marked yet another display of complete submission by Muslims as they threw Cans, Bottles, everything, all Containers  of SHARAB on the streets. THE HISTORY PAGES TELL US THAT EVEN THOSE ACQUISITIONS WERE DESTROYED WHICH WERE PROCURED AND PRODUCED AGES AGO.


MAY ALLAH KARIM BE PLEASED WITH THEM ALL........AND.......

MAY ALLAH KARIM BESTOW UPON US THE STRENGTH AND FACULTIES TO UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW AL-ISLAM AS IT IS........WITHOUT IFS, BUTS, DENIALS AND ALIBIS.

WORTH A THOUGHT AND A NOD !

Been quite a few days since I shared something via this forum...Just bumped into Great Paulo's write-up on 'THE FAVOUR BANK'; couldn't resist sharing it; good to READ, EVALUATE AND LEARN.


‘What is this Favour Bank?’
‘It was an American writer who first mentioned it. It’s the most powerful bank in the world, and you’ll find it in every sphere of life.’

‘What favours could I do for anyone?’
‘That doesn’t matter in the least. Let me give you an example: I know that one day, you’ll be very influential. I know this because, like you, I too was once ambitious, independent, honest. I no longer have the energy I once had, but I want to help you because I can’t or don’t want to grind to a halt just yet.
I start making deposits in your account – not cash deposits, you understand, but contacts. I introduce you to such and such a person, I arrange certain deals, as long as they’re legal. You know that you owe me something, but I never ask you for anything.’

‘And then one day…’
‘ One day, I’ll ask you for a favour. You do what I ask, I continue to help you, and other people see that you’re a decent, loyal sort of person and so they too make deposits in your account – always in the form of contacts, because this world is made up of contacts and nothing else. They too will one day ask you for a favour, and you will respect and help the people who have helped you. You’ll know everyone you need to know and your influence will keep on growing.’

‘I could refuse to do what you ask me to do.’
‘You could. The Favour Bank is a risky investment, just like any other bank. You refuse to grant the favour I asked you, in the belief that I helped you because you deserved to be helped, because everyone should recognise your talent. Fine, I say thank you very much and ask someone else into whose account I’ve also made various deposits, but from then on, everyone knows, without me having to say a word, that you are not to be trusted.

‘And…’ 
‘You’ll grow only half as much as you could have grown, and certainly not as much as you would have liked to. At a certain point, your life will begin to decline, you got halfway, but not all the way. Neither frustrated nor fulfilled. You’re neither cold nor hot, you’re lukewarm, and as an evangelist in some holy book says: “Lukewarm things are not pleasing to the palate.”

Mr. Ayaz Amir in his recent column wrote :
Not Islam - this fiction was exploded in 1971, and continues to be exposed today in Balochistan. Far from being a uniting factor religion, and the uses to which it is being put, is proving to be the biggest divisive factor of all, Pakistanis killing each other in the name of sect and faith – a country created on the basis of religion floundering at the altar of religion, earnest Pakistanis forever engaged in the quest to discover what Allah’s commandments mean and what they do not..........
He definitely has a point but.... true Islam as a Way of Life has never entered our LIVES so how can we claim that IT has failed as a uniting factor.  Whenever the Name Islam comes up, it is ACCOMPANIED BY INSOLUBLE CONFUSION; WHICH BRAND OF ISLAM, SUNNI, SHIA, WAHABI, LIBERAL, FUNDAMENTALIST AND AND AND.......

Nowadays there is lot of talk about enforcement of SHARIAH....... with spontaneous shrieks of WHICH SHARIAH?

Just a look at the composition of Official Dialogue Committee tells us about THE GREAT ISLAMIC SCHOLARS THEREIN......TALIBAAN DIALOGUE COMMITTE had incomparable Islamic Scholars like Great Imran Khan and Lal Masjid fame Mullah Abdel Aziz.

One side uses the Name of Islam to HAVE ITS BRANDED AMIR-UL-MOMINEEN and KHALIFA......OTHER SIDE IS UTTERLY CONFUSED AND WHEN IT DOESN'T KNOW ITSELF WHAT IT IS DOING HOW CAN OTHERS KNOW WHAT IT IS UPTO?

Allah Karim Says in Quran-E-Hakeem :
There shall be no compulsion (and coercion)  in religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing. AL-BAQARA {2} : 256.

I join Mr. Ayaz Amir in the quest to know; [EMPHASISING THAT ISLAM IS THE WAY OF LIFE BASED ON UNITY, EQUALITY, JUSTICE, FEAR OF ALLAH AND MERCY.... AND NOT THE DIVISIVE FACTOR IF ONLY WE KNEW THE TRUE ISLAM] 
LET US MAKE AN EARNEST EFFORT TO KNOW WHAT THE MERCIFUL ISLAM IS AND STANDS FOR........IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO LEARN.

Prime Minister is highly optimistic about getting the 'GOOD NEWS'.

Other 'SIDE' is highly SINCERE in pursuing the DIALOGUE PROCESS for achieving their OBJECTIVES.

POOR NATION EAGERLY AWAITS [and gets daily] GOOD NEWS.

I read a story worth sharing....read and decide :
A Master and his Servant were on their way home on horseback late at night after having a good drink. 
At a ford where the bank was steep, the Master fell head first into the creek. He scrambled up, and shouted to his servant: 
"Hold on, Mon! Something fell off--I heard it splash!" 
Servant climbed down from the saddle, and waded about blindly in the shallow water, with groping hands. At last, he seized on the Master. 
"Why, it's yerself, mon, as fell oof!" 
"No, No," the master declared stoutly. "It can't be me--here I am."
Then he, added: "But if it is me, get me back on the horse."
Servant helped the Master to the horse, and boosted him up astride. In the dark, the rider was faced the wrong way to. 
"Gie me the reins," the Master ordered.
Servant felt about the horse's rump, and, then cried out, clutching the tail:
 "It waur the horse's head as fell off--nothin' left but the mane!" 
"Gie me the mane, then," the Master directed stolidly. "I must een hae something to hold on." 
So, presently, when he had the tail firmly grasped in both hands, and Servant had mounted, the procession began to move. Whereat, the Master shouted in dismay:

"Haud on, Mon! It's gaein' the wrang way!"

OPTIMISM - BUT WHERE ARE YOUR TEETH?

Duaien !

Well; the Game is On....

Optimism - Xenophobia - Diversity - Differences - Opinions - Facts - Sincerity - Charity - Naivety - Treachery......all abound; 

AND THE BLOOD KEEPS SPILLING DAY IN AND DAY OUT.

Before I offer my advice....worth it may be to go through the story of an OPTIMIST :
There was a Man naturally inclined to seek out the good in every situation, A GENUINE OPTIMIST. One day, having walked MILES FROM HIS HOME TO PLACE OF WORK....He realised that he had forgotten some thing.....
"I left my lunch at home."
Then, sheepishly he exclaimed: 
"And for the matter of that, I left my teeth at home, too."

SO IT MUST BE WORTH A NOTE THAT IN OUR OPTIMISM, SINCERITY, CHARITY OR NAIVETY............

WE MAY FOREGO OUR 'LUNCH' BUT MUST NOT LOSE 'OUR TEETH'.
