PAKISTAN - IDEOLOGY - IDEOLOGUES - INCOMPETENCE !
Salam and Duaien ...
ONE MORE AUGUST IS HERE ... MAY IT BRING GOOD TIDINGS TO PAKISTAN AND PAKISTANIS ...
Dr. Professor Umair Mehmood Siddiqui of Karachi University and a recently inducted Member of Council of Islamic Ideology Pakistan - اسلامی نظریاتی کونسل (a fully merited addition to the esteemed body keeping in view his academic credentials and practical contributions), has always been kind to visit me whenever he visits Islamabad. This time he wanted me to talk about August, Pakistan, its Ideology, People and general outlook towards Minorities ... I expressed what little I know and believe .... He recorded and left for another scheduled meeting.
He left but 'Pakistan, Ideology, Ideologues' possessed me ... A dive in the past refreshed the miracle that Pakistan is; a State with great Potential ... AN IMPOSSIBILITY MADE POSSIBLE BY THE BLESSING OF ALLAH KARIM, LEADERSHIP OF INCOMPRABLE QUAID AND HUGE SACRIFICES OF MUSLIMS OF SUB-CONTINENT.
What happened thereafter? Why the extreme motivation waned? Why the forerunners became disillusioned? Why did the serpent of parochialism raised its venomous head? Why languages became an issue? When Islamic Identity and Brotherhood was overtaken by the demon of ethnicity? Why Corruption and Corrupt thrived/thrive as an epidemic in an Islamic Republic carved in the name of Islam? Why every thinkable/doable crime is the order of the day? Why the 128th and 121st position in the world? And and and an unending list overwhelmed me.
ONE ANSWER ONLY ... THE LEADERSHIP.
May be Quaid left too early; May be Liaquat was murdered that Pakistan should not get the propulsion it needed to takeoff, may be the fence sitters lacked motivation ... May be ...

When Leaders' ‘Self supersedes the State’, then majority of the unguided, left to lustful judgement followers/state servants are quick to aim low and adopt animalistic qualities that are way beneath the established moral standards of humanity ... (Unfortunately from the lowest tier to the highest echelon this is the story of our Pakistan - Exceptions are always there).
The Rulers either forgot the Ideology on which Pakistan was created or did not understand the Ideology at all.
What BTW is an Ideology and who are the Ideologues? Ideology can be described by a layman like me is an idea, an item of belief which purports to explain the complexity of Goals/Aims/Objectives and offers remedies/solutions that will lead to success/salvation. Ideologues are the people who profess to know the Ideology and strive earnestly to reach the Destination by following the path inscribed therein. Fact however is that Few follow the path in letter and spirit and Many use the Ideology as a cover to attain their personal goals dictated by Greed and executed by Machiavellian Deceit.
These ‘Many’ talk big, promise paradise, tell lies, do anything to reach Flowing Ganga to wash Their Dirty Hands In. They are always dangerous, because a simple 'I Know it All' approach coupled with personal Demons of Lust and Fraud can only be self-oriented and nothing beyond. They have and are bound to fail all who believe in them. Furthermore, historically when the social contraptions of these Pseudo Ideologues fail to fly, they never raise their hand to accept the failure, instead they always blame others …. And this exactly has been the story of our Pakistan. Incompetence has continually bred incompetence so that ‘Level of Competence’ has shrunk to the height of Mr. Chandra (who measured exactly 21.51 Inches as an adult human being).
There must though be genuine believers and knowers of the Ideology of Pakistan ...
WILL (AND CAN) THEY STEP UP?
DO THEY HAVE THE CAPACITY TO 'DO'?
WiLL THEY FIND/BE GIVEN THE SPACE?
WILL THE LEMMING FACTOR, INERTIA, RESIGNATION, INDIFFERENCE GIVE WAY TO WILL, RESILIENCE, DEDICATION, HONESTY AND FEAR OF ALLAH KARIM?
