GRATITUDE

Prayers for all.

Some time back I was travelling with a learned man (A Phd from Al-Azhar) from Lahore to Islamabad. He told me that one of his teachers at Al-Azhar used to emphasize that never forget to pray to Allah Karim to be amongst those WHO SHOW THEIR GRATITUDE.....IT IS A GREAT BLESSING.

While reciting Quran-e-Majeed I came across following Ayat of Sura Ibraheem :

And remember! your Lord caused to be declared (publicly): "If you are grateful, I will add more (favours) unto you; But if you show ingratitude, truly My punishment is terrible indeed." 14 : 7

To be grateful is a great Blessing indeed. How beautifully some one has described the dividends of gratitude :

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.

It turns what we have into enough, and more.

It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order and confusion to clarity.

It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home and a stranger into a friend.

Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates vision for tomorrow.

ربِ کریم شکر گزار بنا دے ۔ آمین
